The NSW Government is providing strata schemes with grant funding to prepare their building for the future by upgrading infrastructure to enable adequate EV charging facilities.

The grants on offer include subsidizing a feasibility assessment so costs do not exceed $2,000 +GST, as well as co-funding the building infrastructure upgrade, up to $80,000 per building. The grants will be on offer until the pool of $10 million in grant money is exhausted.

To qualify for:

  • Stage 1 (feasibility assessment), buildings must be classified as Class 2 under the National Building Code and have 10 or more lots. Building must also be able to implement EV charging infrastructure upgrades that can be accessed by all residents.

  • Stage 2 (infrastructure upgrade), buildings must have completed the Stage 1 program. Installation is also required to be approved by ordinary resolution at a general meeting of the owners corporation.

Find out more about the program, including the full eligibility criteria, click HERE or speak with your Strata Manager about applying for one of these grants.

Policies like this highlight how infrastructure shifts often begin with incentives but depend on collective uptake to have real impact. In that sense https://womenofletters.com.au Pay ID feels like a contrast, because adoption can move quickly on paper, while practical https://www.auspayplus.com.au/solutions/payid implementation in shared buildings tends to be slower and negotiated.
